When to Order Company Uniforms: Freeze the Sizes Before Production

Uniform schedules depend on size lists, garment choices and artwork approvals. Give each of those decisions its own deadline.

The logo may be ready long before the team has agreed its sizes. That is why a uniform order can appear almost finished while still missing the information needed to proceed.

Choose the exact style before collecting sizes

A size list only helps if it belongs to the selected model. Use that model's chart and confirm how staff should provide their choice. Do not collect generic small, medium and large preferences and assume they translate to every cut.

If a fitting reference is available, arrange that before the list is final.

Give one person ownership of the master list

Combine sizes, colours and quantities into one approved version. Decide how late joiners and changes will be handled. A series of small corrections across messages is difficult to reconcile with the final order.

Artwork approval can run alongside this work, provided the garment and decoration position are stable.

Leave time for sorting and handover

A delivery for several departments may need checking, separating and labelling before staff receive it. The first day of wear is later than the date you need the cartons.

When asking about uniform production, share both dates and the current status of the size list. Confirm the schedule for your exact order rather than assuming the previous batch's timing applies.
