When to Order Event Lanyards and Wristbands
You can approve a strap before the guest list is final. Separate the fixed design from changing event information to keep the order moving.
The event identity may be ready weeks before the attendee names. Treating those as one inseparable artwork job can create an avoidable delay.
Freeze what is genuinely fixed
Confirm the event name, strap artwork, attachment and badge-holder arrangement once those decisions are settled. If printed credentials are a separate component, ask how their schedule relates to the wearable order.
That does not mean rushing approval. It means recognising which changes really affect which parts.
Leave a window for corrections
Names, job titles and role labels need careful checking. Build a sensible cut-off into the registration process, and decide how late additions will be handled. A blank spare credential can be more useful than an incorrectly named one, depending on the event's process.
For wristbands used to distinguish sessions or groups, settle the labelling system before people begin sorting the order into packs.
Receive before the registration desk is built
Open cartons, count variants and try the complete wearable. Clip a real badge into the holder and look at it from the distance people will use it.
When ordering event wearables, provide the date you need to begin preparation, not only the public event date. If the first inspection happens at the venue doors, there is little room left to put anything right.
